The Bidvest Magnum Group is a National provider of security services to a wide range of clients within the industrial, commercial, retail and mining sectors. The main service provided is properly trained and qualified Security Officers, supported where necessary by electronic and mechanical aids to ensure the client’s premises is effectively secured.

BELIEF

Bidvest Magnum has a firm belief that safety incidents, occupational illnesses and diseases are preventable and that employee behaviour in the workplace is critical to the Health and Occupational Management system.

COMMITMENT

The Board of Directors, Regional Directors and all Line Management are accountable for and are committed to:

• Providing effective management systems and measures to ensure Health and Occupational Safety hazards are wherever possible, prevented, minimised or eliminated.
• Ensuring that all current Health and Occupational Safety legislation as well as client requirements are complied with.
• Providing the necessary resources and training in order to encourage greater awareness, competence and responsibility by all employees and sub contractors.
• The development, implementation and maintenance of emergency plans.
• Establish control measures to reduce, control and wherever possible prevent injuries and occupational diseases.
• Identify, evaluate and prioritise the Health and Occupational disease hazards and risks, and set objectives and targets for the implementation of actions plans to reduce and manage these hazards and risks.
• Liaise with clients, employees, regulatory authorities and all other interested or affected parties on a regular basis in order to promote constructive dialog and an understanding of all parties Health and Occupational safety obligations.
  
  The policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains appropriate to the nature and scale of the Health and Occupational Safety risks, activities and services.
